On Wednesday 13th December 2017, the Mayor launched the consultation draft of his Economic Development Strategy (EDS) at the Federation of Small Businesses Winter Reception.

On Wednesday 8th November, City Hall hosted the 2017 London Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) Summit. Representatives from BIDs across London and supporting organisations gathered in London’s Living Room for a day of dynamic discussion, workshops and celebration of the hard work that London’s BIDs do to help improve our city.

On 19th October, as a part of the partially-LEAP funded London Enterprise Advisers Network, Team London made their way to Lord’s Cricket Ground to help 260 young people from across London kick-start their careers. The event, called ‘Explore Your Horizons’ saw 190 business volunteers give these young people advice and guidance on possible career options.

On Thursday 28th September LEAP, Camden Town Unlimited and the FSB launched a key report into the impact of the 2017 revaluation of business rates. The research, commissioned by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and Camden Town Unlimited, shows that there is a need for reform of the English business rates system to limit its impact on London firms.
