Today we launch our new report setting out priorities to drive jobs and growth in the capital. ‘London 2036: An Agenda for Jobs and Growth’ sets out a formula for the capital to achieve world-beating income growth, greater job opportunities than rival cities, a diverse and shock-proof economy, more homes and better transportation, as well as more balanced economic growth across the UK.
London Boroughs have secured additional borrowing of £34.6m to deliver 443 homes following the announcement of the LEP's Growth Deal in July last year, through which London boroughs were granted £62.9m for 674 homes.
The LEP has secured a £14m fund from Government to help London's small businesses take on an apprentice. Eligible small and medium sized enterprises will now be able to access an enhanced Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE) of £3,000 (previously £1,500).
The West London Alliance has secured £1.2m from government to run a mental health and employment pilot on behalf of the LEP.
The LEP is mapping London’s dynamic science and tech sectors to help set policy for the next decade. Put your business on the map by completing the Great London Tech Census.
Find out about our £85m fund for budding tech and science start-up businesses in the capital who are looking to raise the finance they need to take their business to the next level.
